ANALISIS SPASIAL LOKASI DAN KAPASITAS TEMPAT PEMBUANGAN SEMENTARA (TPS) MENGGUNAKAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS (SIG) DI KABUPATEN GROBOGAN
Abstract
The population growth of Grobogan Regency, reaching 342,678 people in 2024, has resulted in an increase in daily waste generation that exceeds the capacity of seven existing Temporary Disposal Sites (TPS). The uneven distribution of TPS and overload conditions at several locations such as TPS Kuripan with a capacity of 26 m³/day hinder the implementation of 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) in sustainable waste management. This study aims to analyze the spatial distribution and capacity of TPS using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to plan facility optimization for 2025. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a QGIS-based spatial analysis approach. Location data were obtained through field surveys using GPS and mapped in QGIS based on satellite imagery, while non-spatial data such as capacity and waste volume were collected from field surveys and the Grobogan Regency Environmental Agency database. Spatial analysis used buffer, overlay, and density techniques to identify service coverage and underserved areas. The research results show uneven distribution of TPS, especially in areas with high population density. Thematic maps reveal the need for additional TPS in three priority subdistricts. The study concludes that GIS is effective as a mapping and optimization tool for TPS distribution. Practically, this research provides policy recommendations to the Environmental Agency for TPS expansion based on spatial needs analysis to support sustainable waste management in Grobogan Regency.
