Abstract

Tumbak Bayuh Village is one of the 20 villages in the Mengwi District, Badung Regency. Handling of organic waste and inorganic waste, as well as education about the Waste Bank will be much better if applied early on, therefore it is important for elementary school students to be given socialization on how to process or recycle plastic waste into usable goods. Problems found for appointed as a program that is the low public awareness of waste management. low public awareness of the dangers of plastic waste, low community participation in waste bank activities, low level of student creativity in recycling organic and inorganic waste.

 

Abstrak

Desa Tumbak Bayuh merupakan salah satu desa dari 20 desa yang ada terdapat di wilayah Kecamatan Mengwi Kabupaten Badung. Penanganan sampah-organik, sampah-anoganik, dan edukasi tentang bank-sampah akan jauh lebih baik apabila diterapkan sejak dini sehingga penting bagi siswa-siswi SD untuk diberikan sosialisasi bagaimana cara mengolah atau mendaur ulang sampah plastik menjadi barang layak-guna. Masalah yang ditemukan untuk diangkat menjadi sebuah program yaitu rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat akan penanganan sampah, rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat akan bahayanya sampah plastik, rendahnya partisipasi masyarakat akan kegiatan bank sampah, dan rendahnya tingkat kreatifitas siswa dalam mendaur ulang sampah organic maupun anorganik.
