Abstract

Bantul Regency is one of the regencies in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province that experiences a high number of residential fires every year. This is due to the lack of preparedness and awareness among the community regarding fire disasters, which can pose a real threat to safety and cause significant losses for the community. This study aims to map the risk of residential fire disasters in Bantul Regency as a step to support mitigation efforts. The creation of this risk map is the result of combining threat, vulnerability, and capacity parameters. The research method involves scoring and weighting based on the National Disaster Management Agency Regulation No. 2 of 2012 for threat and vulnerability parameters, and utilizing the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine capacity weights. The results of this study indicate that 6 sub-districts are in the high-risk category (35.29%), namely Sedayu, Pajangan, Bambanglipuro, Jetis, Imogiri, and Pleret. Nine sub-districts are at moderate risk (52.94%), namely Kasihan, Sewon, Piyungan, Dlingo, Pandak, Srandakan, Sanden, Kretek, and Pundong. Meanwhile, two sub-districts are at low risk (11.77%), namely Bantul and Banguntapan.
