PENGARUH SUBSITUSI ION (TI2+,MN4+) TERHADAP UKURAN PARTIKEL DAN SIFAT MAGNET DARI BARIUM HEKSAFERRIT DENGAN METODA MILLING DAN ULTRASONIK TEKANAN TINGGI

Abstrak
Telah dibuat material BaFe12-2x TixMnxO19 ferrit hasil subsitusi dari BHF dengan (Ti2+-Mn4+) untuk variasi komposisi x = 0,0, 0,2, 0,4, 0,6 dan 0,8. Material diproses dengan metoda Milling dan dilanjutkan dengan sonikasi. Dilakukan analisa terhadap ukuran partikel dan sifat magnet dari material dengan menggunakan peralatan PSA (particle size analyzer), XRD (X-ray diffraction) dan Permagraph EP.3 magnetometer. Dari sampel yang dianalisa dengan XRD diperoleh ukuran Kristal dibawah 70 nm untuk semua sampel, dari PSA didapat ukuran partikel berkisar 200-400 nm, dari data ini berarti setiap butir partikel merupakan polikristalin. Dilakukan sonikasi selama 6 jam dan diperoleh distribusi partikel untuk x = 0.0 berkisar 49,21 nm dan untuk x = 0,6 dan 0,8 berkisar 120,2 - 209,5 nm. Proses ini menunjukkan bahwa proses sonikasi bisa memperkecil ukuran partikel. Sifat magnetik yang dikarakterisasi menggunakan magnetometer menunjukkan magnetisasi saturasi meningkat hingga komposisi x = 0,4 dan penurunan untuk substitusi lebih lanjut, sedangkan nilai koersivitas tetap menurun monoton dengan meningkatnya substitusi. Penurunan ukuran partikel dari 200-50 nm, memberi perubahan terhadap sifat magnet material dari hard menjadi soft magnet dengan koersivitas , tertera pada table 2.

Abstract
This research has been made on the material BaFe12-2x TixM xO19 ferrite substituted with (Ti2+-Mn4+) with variation of composition x = 0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8. by sonication. Analyzing the particle size and magnetic properties of a material using equipment PSA (particle size analyzer), XRD (X-ray diffraction) and Permagraph EP.3 magnetometer. The result of the XRD analyzed obtained crystal size below 70 nm for all samples, obtained from the PSA particle size range 200-400 nm, from the results of this means that every item is a polycrystalline particles. The prosesing sonication for 6 hours and the particle distribution obtained for x = 0.0 nm and ranges from 49.21 to x = 0.6 and 0.8 range 120,2- 209.5 nm. This process shows that the sonication process could reduce the size of the particles. Magnetic properties were characterized using a magnetometer showed saturation magnetization rises to the composition x = 0.4 and decline to further substitution, while the value of coercivity permanent decreases monotonically with increasing substitution. So that decreasing particle size of 200-50 nm, giving a change to the magnetic properties of the hard material becomes soft magnetic coercivity, listed in Table 2.
