Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts are read by the editorial staff. Those manuscripts evaluated by editors to be inappropriate to journal criteria are rejected promptly without external review. Manuscripts evaluated to be of potential interest to our readership are sent to double blind reviewers. The editors then make a decision based on the reviewer recommendation from among several possibilities: rejected, require major revision, need minor revision, or accepted.
The Editor-in-Chief of JIPES has the right to decide which manuscripts submitted to the journal should be published.
Initial evaluation of manuscripts
The Editor will first evaluate all manuscripts submitted at a maximum of 2 weeks time. Although rare, yet it is entirely feasible for an exceptional manuscript to be accepted at this stage. Those rejected at this stage are insufficiently original, have serious scientific flaws, or are outside the aims and scope of the JIPES (Journal of Indonesian Physical Education and Sport). Those that meet the minimum criteria are passed on to expert reviewers for review. It usually took up to 8 weeks.
Review Process:
- Author submit the manuscript
