Peer Review Process

Submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review to evaluate contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation. Authors and reviewers remain anonymous to one another. The Editor will notify authors of decisions as soon as possible. The review process is as follows:

  1. Initial editorial check. The Editor screens the manuscript for fit with Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Fakultas Teknik: Jurnal Abditek’s focus and scope, major methodological flaws, and similarity (using Turnitin). Manuscripts may be desk rejected or forwarded for peer review.
  2. Peer review. Manuscripts sent for review are assessed by at least two anonymous referees (double-blind). Reviewers’ comments are returned to the corresponding author for revision.
  3. Revision and editorial recommendation. After receiving the authors’ revision and responses, the editorial team evaluates the revised manuscript and recommends a final decision.
  4. Editorial decision. The Editor communicates the final decision to the corresponding author.
  5. Production. Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting and layout to prepare the camera-ready version for publication.
