License & Copyright

Communicology: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi allows authors to hold the copyright to their work without restrictions and to retain publishing rights without limitations. The journal recommends the use of the CC-BY license, or an equivalent license, as the optimal model for the publication, distribution, use, and reuse of scholarly work.

In developing strategy and setting priorities, Communicology: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi recognizes that free access is better than priced access, libre access is better than free access, and libre access under a CC-BY license or its equivalent is better than libre access under more restrictive open licenses. We strive to achieve what is possible when it is possible. We should not delay achieving free access in pursuit of libre access, nor should we stop at free access when libre access can be achieved.
