Open Access Policy

Journal Communicology in principle provides direct access to the content of the research results freely available to support knowledge exchange globally. Access rights of entire publication content of this journal is open access for non-commercial purposes [see copyright provisions].

Focus and Scope

Communicology published twice a year (July and December). In each edition, it received an original article that will be reviewed by internal and external editors. After that, reviewer, who had related expertise, will review this articles with double-blind peer review. Communicology will publish selected paper under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License

Communicology aims to encourage research in communication studies. Topics addressed within the journal include but not limited to:

  • Business communication is an idea or opinion exchange, information, instruction among people (personal or non-personal) through a various symbol to achieve company goal.
  • Organizational communication discusses organizational behavior and explained about interactions between people within the organization.
  • Public Relations discusses communication strategy to distribute information within community or society.
  • Media and Text Analysis, this topic discuss social relation, especially a relation that aims to made production, distribution, and human consumption.
  • Political communication is a communication that employs message and political actor or related to power, government, and policy.
  • Cross-cultural communication is a communication between people with different culture (for instance race, ethnic, or socio-economic)

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

To cover operational costs and maintain the quality of this journal, we apply an Article Processing Cost (APC). The APC to be paid by the author is 500,000 (IDR) for each article. This fee must be paid by the author after the manuscript is accepted for publication. The invoice will be sent to the author accompanied by evidence of a Letter of Acceptance (LoA). The author must submit the manuscript by himself/themselves, not through a third party.

  • History of The Journal

    Jurnal communicology was published, on December 2013, by Prodi D3 Hubungan Masyarakat FIS UNJ. The first printed edition was published on December 2013. Meanwhile, Jurnal communiclogy starts using Online Journal System in Mei 207. Therefore, our publication during Desember 2013 till December 2016 was back issued. 

    As we growth, we did some alteration in order to make improvement. Authors guidelines were revised on December 2016 on article interface. We also employ journal template for December 2017 edition with additional title sours at first page. Moreover, on the same edition, we also revise focus and scope.
