Saskara: Indonesian Journal of Society Studies is jointly published by Universitas Negeri Jakarta and managed by LPPM Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Derived from Sanskrit, Saskara means truth and pure. Therefore, this journal main aim to spread pure critical and original analysis related to truth studies about sociology aspect which consist of-but not limited to studies about civil society and development, society development strategies, society empowerment, gender and development, etc. from all related academic researchers and practitioners in Indonesia. The writing is published after undergoing a peer-review process by providing an exclusive analysis from various perspectives.
Saskara: Indonesian Journal of Society Studies provides high-quality studies outcomes and a new thoughts for academic practitioners, researchers, and publics to break down the complexity and dynamics of contemporary sociology change. Published twice a year, in July and December. The printed version has been published since 2020 and the online version is also available since 2021. Saskara: Indonesian Journal of Society Studies invites researcher, academician, practitioners, and publics to submit their critical writings and contribute to the latest debates in sociology.
Saskara: Indonesian Journal of Society Studies collaborated with APSSI (Association of Indonesian Social Sciences Scholars) since 2023 under collaboration agreements 14.089/A-APSSI/X/2023
Saskara: Indonesian Journal of Society Studies operates from Indonesia, where the publisher is registered and carries out its activities.
Saskara: Indonesian Journal of Society Studies is jointly published by Universitas Negeri Jakarta and managed by LPPM Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Functioning under the auspices of the university's Faculty of Social Sciences and Law and its Sociology Laboratory, the journal seeks contributions from a broad range of scholars, practitioners, and interested members of the public. Submissions in the form of critical analyses are particularly welcome, with the ultimate aim of fostering advancements within the field of sociology.
