License & Copyright

Lililacs Journal: English Literature, Language, and Cultural Studies (LILILACS) allow the author(s) to hold the copyright without restrictions and  to retain publishing rights without restrictions. The owner of the commercial rights to the article  is  the author. Lililacs Journal has CC BY 4.0 or an equivalent license as the optimal license for the publication, distribution, use, and reuse of scholarly work.

In developing strategy and setting priorities, Lililacs recognizes that free access is better than charged access, libre access is better than free access, and libre under CC BY 4.0 or the equivalent is better than libre under more restrictive open licenses. We should achieve what we can when we can. We should not delay achieving free in order to achieve libre, and we should not stop with free when we can achieve libre.

Articles in Lililacs Journal are open access articles published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license lets others distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as they credit you for the original creation. This is the most accommodating of licenses offered. Recommended for maximum dissemination and use of licensed materials.

In addition, Lililacs has strongly supported authors to retain the copyright and full publishing rights without any restrictions.
