Author Guidelines

Before submission:

Please ensure your manuscript is prepared using the journal template. Authors must follow the writing format and style of Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Fakultas Teknik: Jurnal Abditek. Manuscripts should be original (or extended versions of previously published conference/journal papers) and, if sponsored, must be cleared for open publication.

General Requirements:

The minimum standard requirements of Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Fakultas Teknik: Jurnal Abditek must be:

  1. Written in English or Bahasa Indonesia
  2. The length of the submitted paper is minimum 6 pages and maximum 20 pages.
  3. Use of a tool of Mendeley for reference management and formatting.
  4. Make sure the paper is prepared using the Manuscript Template.

Article Structure

The manuscript must be prepared and presented in the following structure:

  1. Title. Provide the title in Bahasa Indonesia and English. The title should be specific and concise (maximum 15 words).
  2. Author(s). Author’s full name (no academic titles). Identify the corresponding author and provide their e-mail address and mobile phone number.
  3. Affiliation. Full institutional affiliation(s) including postal address and postal code.
  4. Abstract. Provide abstracts in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, each no longer than 250 words. Each abstract should include a brief introduction, methods, results, and conclusion.
  5. Keywords. Provide 3–5 keywords in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, listed in alphabetical order.
  6. Introduction. Describe the background of the community service activities concisely and clearly, and state the specific, measurable objectives and the expected changes following the activities. Place the work in context with citation of relevant literature. Include at least five recent journal references.
  7. Methods. Describe the activities in detail, including materials and tools, implementation steps, respondent/target selection, measurement instruments, data collection procedures, and data processing and analysis methods.
  8. Results and Discussion. Present the most important findings succinctly. Quantitatively describe participant profiles, conditions, and specific challenges. Formulate the problem clearly (definitions, assumptions, scope, and implementation limitations). Explain expected economic and science & technology benefits if conditions change after the service. Describe the theoretical and empirical framework, summarize prior problem-solving efforts, and justify the chosen approach. Specify evaluation procedures, including criteria, indicators, and success benchmarks. Present results using text, tables, and figures; include implementation details, constraints, observed impacts, and plans for continuation. In the discussion, interpret findings with reference to the literature and explain their implications.
  9. Conclusions. Summarize the primary outcomes in paragraph form (no bullets or numbering). Provide conclusions and recommendations related to future activities or research.
  10. References. List all cited works in the references section. Provide a minimum of 10 references, primarily recent journal articles (published within the last ten years). Use APA 7th edition style.

Figures.

  1. Number figures sequentially in the order they appear.
  2. Each figure must have a caption that fully explains its content; captions appear below the figure.
  3. If a figure is reproduced or adapted from another source, include a full citation.

Tables.

  1. Present tabular material as numbered, captioned tables, ordered as they appear in the text.
  2. Each table must have a caption that fully explains its content; captions appear above the table.
  3. Each column should have a clear, concise heading.
  4. If a table is reproduced or adapted from another source, include a full citation. 

Language.

Manuscripts must be clearly written and grammatically correct. Poorly written manuscripts that hinder comprehension may be returned for language revision. Authors are encouraged to proofread carefully or use professional language-editing services if needed.

Please note: manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines will be returned to the authors for correction. Only submissions in the correct format will proceed to editorial consideration.
