Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  • Publication policies

Practice of Fashion and Textile Education Journal requires authors to comply with Practice of Fashion and Textile Education Journal publication policies, i.e. papers submitted to Practice of Fashion and Textile Education Journal should be original work, i.e. the same paper must have not been published or accepted for publication in any other journals/books either in full or substantial part; and the submission file is in Microsoft WORD, or RTF document file format. It must not be submitted to any other journal for concurrent publication or being considered for publication or even being reviewed.

  • Manuscript preparation

Manuscripts must comply with the following guidelines before entering the review process.

  • Language

Pappers must be written in English. Do not use any slang or jargon. Abbreviations and acronyms should be clearly defined when they are first introduced in the text.

  • Length of paper

The preferred length of a paper no more than 6000 words inclusive of everything (Tables, Figures, References and Appendices). The manuscript should contain an unstructured abstract of 200 words between 5 and 10 keywords

  • Format

Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word, using Times New Roman as the font type. Leave a blank line between each section. The line spacing is 1.0 for the whole and using 12 font size.

  • References

References to the publications should strictly follow APA referencing style.
