This study aims to compare the effectiveness of podcast media and Game-Based Learning (GBL) in improving the understanding of Islam in the digital generation. Using a systematic literature study approach based on the PRISMA framework, as many as 15 selected articles from the Google Scholar database were analyzed in depth. The results of the study show that podcasts excel in conveying Islamic teachings in a narrative and dialogical manner, with a flexible, personal, and relevant approach for generation Z and alpha. Meanwhile, GBL has proven to be effective in increasing students' motivation, active participation, and cognitive understanding through the integration of game elements in Islamic Religious Education learning. While both have their own advantages, podcasts face challenges in the limitations of live interaction and audio quality, whereas GBL demands careful planning and good classroom management. This study recommends the integration of both media as a more adaptive and participatory Islamic learning strategy. This study is limited to the analysis of the literature from a single database and does not include empirical studies. Follow-up research is suggested to quantitatively test the effectiveness of podcast and GBL integration in a variety of educational contexts.
