This study aims to analyze the regulation and integration of traditional medicine practiced by indigenous communities within the national health law system based on Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health. The method used is normative legal research with a statutory and conceptual approach through literature study. The results show that although Law No. 17 of 2023 has recognized traditional medicine, the regulation has not fully accommodated the principles of justice, respect for local wisdom, and sustainability. There are normative and implementation challenges, such as regulatory inconsistencies, lack of legal protection for traditional knowledge, and the absence of inclusive oversight mechanisms. Therefore, an ideal legal policy formulation should emphasize the principles of respect for indigenous rights, active participation, and the development of contextual and sustainable standards. This study recommends that Law No. 17 of 2023 be strengthened through responsive implementing regulations to ensure a fair and sustainable integration of traditional medicine into the national health system.
