Abstract

This study aims to analyse the spatial pattern of senior high schools (SMA) distribution in Central Jakarta using Geographic Information System (GIS) with Nearest Neighbor Analysis (NNA) method. High school location data was obtained from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Education Office and the Central Bureau of Statistics, which was then processed using ArcGIS software to map the distribution and identify the distribution pattern, whether clustered, random, or evenly distributed. The analysis shows that the distribution of SMA in Central Jakarta has a clustered pattern. Overlay with the population density map shows that SMAs tend to be distributed in high density areas such as Cempaka Putih and Kemayoran. This research also contributes to the development of geography and regional planning.
