Analisis Kemiringan Lereng untuk Mitigasi Erosi Kecamatan Loa Janan Ilir, Kota Samarinda
Keywords:
Slope gradient, Erosion, Mitigation, Geographic Information SystemAbstract
This study aims to identify how slope inclination is a major factor in mapping erosion hazard classifications in the Loa Janan Ilir District, Samarinda City. This study uses spatial analysis techniques in combination with a literature review. The geographical approach used is a complex area. Spatial techniques are used to examine the geographical conditions of Loa Janan Ilir and to measure and analyze slope inclination. Literature studies are used to determine the level of erosion potential. The data obtained are primary and secondary data. The spatial analysis technique used in map making is overlay through ArcGIS software. Topographic maps are the result of Sentinel image processing from SAS Planet, administrative maps, and settlement maps of the administrative area taken from Ina Geoportal. Technological advances utilize Digital Elevation Models (DEM) to determine the height of the earth's surface. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) support the management of raw data taken from the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) to classify areas with erosion vulnerability and hazard levels in terms of economic, social, and environmental development and construction. This study emphasizes a spatial-based approach to propose erosion mitigation strategies that are specifically tailored to the slope conditions. This research can be used as a reference in formulating environmental management policies, particularly in the Spatial Plan (RTRW) of Samarinda City. The implementation of this spatial-based mitigation strategy can reduce the rate of erosion, maintain land stability, and support sustainable development in Loa Janan Ilir District, which is one of the main buffer zones of Samarinda City.
