Persepsi Mahasiswa Terhadap Pelaksanaan Tugas Akhir di FISH UNJ

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' perceptions of the implementation of the final assignment at FISH UNJ. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results and findings indicate that, at the final assignment submission stage, students are required to complete 144 credits and also fulfill other requirements in accordance with the rules of each study program within the scope of FISH UNJ. Furthermore, it was found that the topic of the final assignment at FISH UNJ aligns with the field of science of each study program. The supervisor's determination is based on student proposals and varies by each study program. The final assignment implementation stage was found that students began to carry out the thesis in semesters 7, 8 and 9. The stages start from the preparation of a proposal that follows the systematic preparation of general provisions. Then the research and preparation of the thesis are carried out according to the method chosen by the student. However, there is still a lack of references and guidelines for the preparation of the final assignment from FISH UNJ. For guidance, it is carried out from determining the title, research, and preparation of the thesis. Finally, the thesis exam, namely students are required to submit the thesis files, journals, IPR, and certificates. Thus, the conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the final assignment at FISH UNJ has actually been running according to the general standards, however, it was found that the implementation is still not uniform among study programs even within the scope of FISH UNJ. Therefore, the suggestion in this study is that there needs to be more intensive coordination at FISH UNJ to establish rules and implementation of the final assignment at FISH UNJ. In addition, there also needs to be a joint agreement between study programs within the scope of FISH UNJ to compile a guidebook for the implementation of the final assignment
