Abstract

South Jakarta has a strong possibility of flooding caused by the physical characteristics of the environment and the intensity of land use. This research aims to map flood vulnerability with a Geographic Information System (GIS) approach through an overlay method of six parameters: slope, land elevation, soil type, rainfall, land use, and river density. Every parameter received its own weight and score, then processed using a raster calculator. The overlay results show that the vulnerability scale varies, with the dominance of vulnerable and highly vulnerable classes in southern areas such as Jagakarsa, Pasar Minggu and Cilandak. Dominant factors include high rainfall, flat topography and dense settlements. Validation showed an accuracy of 86.11%. The findings show that GIS is effective for mapping flood vulnerability and supporting mitigation planning in urban areas.
