The development of the digital era has brought fundamental changes to the world of education, especially in terms of how knowledge is produced, disseminated, and learned. Digital technology has opened enormous opportunities for education, but at the same time presents serious challenges related to values and ethics. This article comprehensively discusses the importance of value- and ethics-based learning in the digital age. The study was conducted through a theoretical approach, critical analysis, and case studies of various educational practices in Indonesia and around the world. This article emphasizes that value- and ethics-based learning cannot be separated from the goals of humanistic education, especially in the context of Education 5.0, which places humans at the center of transformation. The main challenges include moral degradation, individualism, technology abuse, and the digital divide. Meanwhile, the available opportunities are the use of technology to strengthen human values, global collaboration, and ethical digital literacy. This article concludes that value- and ethics-based learning in the digital age must be carried out holistically by involving the curriculum, pedagogy, policies, and the role of families and communities. The main recommendation is the need for synergy between technology, humanistic values, and digital ethics to build a generation that is intelligent, has character, and is socially responsible.
