PENDAMPINGAN MASYARAKAT DALAM PENGOLAHAN SAMPAH ORGANIK MENJADI KOMPOS DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19 DI KLENDER JAKARTA TIMUR

Abstract

ABSTRAK:

Kehidupam ekonomi masyarakat akibat pandemi covid-19 menurut pihak pemerintah maupun swasta ditasakan sangat berat. Banyak terjadi PHK dan pengangguran.Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya untuk membekali pengetahuan dan keterampilan hidup pada masyarakat khususnya melalui pengolahan sampah menjadi kompos, Tujuan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang pengolahan sampah menjadi kompos,agar masyarakat memiliki kemandirian dan keberdayaan ditengah situasi covid 19. Sampah secara umum dipandang sebagai barang sisa yang hanya menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi manusia. Padahal, apabila diolah sampah dapat menjadi  produk yang banyak manfaatnya misalnya menjadi kompos. Klender memiliki jumlah pendidik yang cukup tinggi, sehingga volume sampah di Kelurahan  ini cukup tinggi. Masalahnya masyarakat belum mempunyai keterampilan untuk mengolahnya menjadi produk yang bernilai ekonomi. Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pendampingan pengolahan sampah menjadi kompos pada masyarakat RT.013 RW 03 Klender sehingga mereka mempinyai keterampilan dalam menghadapi kesulitan ekonomi di masa covid-19 Metode Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat ini adalah Casework yang meliputi tahap-tahap (1) Penyadaran adanya masalah (2) Penjalinan relasi lebih mendalam dengan konselor (3) Motivasi (4) Pengkonseptualisasian Masalah (5) Eksplorasi strategi mengatasi masalah (6) Penseleksian strategi mengatasi masalah (7) Implementasi Masalah (8) Evaluasi.   Hasil pengabdian pada masyarakat: Pendamping berhasil membuat masyarakat sadar, termotivasi dan terampil mengolah sampah menjadi kompos untuk mengatasi sulitnya ekonomi di masa covid-19. Hal ini merupakan tanggung jawab moral masyarakat untuk memberdayakan dirinya, sebagai potensi untuk mengatasi sulitnya ekonomi dimasa covid-19. Kesimpulan pendampingan terhadap masyarakat Kelurahan Klender mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat untuk mengolah sampah organik disekitar mereka menjadi kompos untuk mengatasi kesulitan mereka di masa covid-19.

The economic life of the community due to the Covid-19 pandemic according to the government and the private sector is very heavy. Many layoffs and unemployment occur. Therefore, efforts are needed to provide knowledge and life skills to the community, especially through processing waste into compost. In the midst of the covid situation 19. Garbage is generally seen as leftover goods that only have a negative impact on humans. In fact, if it is processed, the waste can become a product that has many benefits, such as compost. Klender has a fairly high number of educators, so the volume of waste in this Kelurahan is quite high. The problem is that people do not have the skills to process them into products with economic value. This Community Service aims to provide assistance in processing waste into compost to the community of RT.013 RW 03 Klender so that they have skills in dealing with economic difficulties during the Covid-19 period. This Community Service Method is Casework which includes stages (1) Awareness of a problem (2) Establishing deeper relationships with the counselor (3) Motivation (4) Conceptualization of Problems (5) Exploration of coping strategies (6) Selection of problem-solving strategies (7) Problem Implementation (8) Evaluation. The result of community service: Facilitators succeeded in making people aware, motivated and skilled in processing waste into compost to overcome economic difficulties during the Covid-19 period. This is the moral responsibility of the community to empower themselves, as a potential to overcome economic difficulties during the Covid-19 period. The conclusion is that assistance to the people of Klender Village is able to increase the knowledge and skills of the community to process organic waste around them into compost to overcome their difficulties during the Covid-19 period.
