Abstract

Abstract

School Literacy Movement at SD Negeri Podorejo 3 Semarang has stagnated. Implementation is just reading Asmaulhusna. In addition, there is no routine coordination, no monitoring and evaluation, no synergy with family and community, and infrastructure is still very limited. Team formulated a solution, namely training and assistance in building reading role models for parents and teachers of low-grade students. The activity was carried out on July 23 and August 20, 2022. The results showed 1) efforts to build reading role models were carried out through practice in reading aloud, mini seminars related to the urgency of reading role models, and assistance in accessing electronic books licensed by creative commons; 2) training attended by 51 participants; 3) mini seminars containing exposure to the urgency of the synergy literacy movement, preparing a literate environment, and the benefits of accompanying children to read; 4) assistance in accessing creative commons licensed books begins with an explanation of the creative commons license, introduction of creative commons licensed pages, and simulating them. The second activity was in the form of post-service monitoring, from 49 participants, 38 were able to read aloud, developed reading role models, and were able to access creative commons licensed books.

 

Abstrak

Pelaksanaan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah di SD Negeri Podorejo 3 Semarang mengalami stagnasi. Implementasi sekadar pembacaan asmaulhusna bersama. Selain itu, tidak ada koordinasi rutin antarguru dan kepala sekolah, tidak ada monitoring dan evaluasi, belum ada sinergitas dengan pihak keluarga dan masyarakat, serta prasarana pendukung masih sangat terbatas. Hasil telaah tim pengabdi merumuskan solusi, yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan membangun reading role model bagi orang tua/wali dan guru peserta didik kelas rendah. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 23 Juli dan 20 Agustus 2022. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan 1) upaya membangun reading role model dilakukan melalui pelatihan praktik baik membaca nyaring, seminar mini terkait urgensi role model membaca, dan pendampingan mengakses buku elektronik yang berlisensi creative commons; 2) implementasi pelatihan praktik baik membaca nyaring diikuti 51 peserta; 3) implementasi seminar mini terkait urgensi role model membaca berisi paparan urgensi sinergitas gerakan literasi, urgensi menyiapkan lingkungan literat, dan manfaat aktivitas mendampingi anak membaca; 4) implementasi pendampingan mengakses buku anak elektronik yang berlisensi creative commons diawali penjelasan mengenai hakikat lisensi creative commons, pengenalan laman sumber bacaan berlisensi creative commons, serta menyimulasikannya. Aktivitas kedua berupa monitoring pascapengabdian, dari 49 peserta, sejumlah 38 peserta telah mampu membacakan nyaring, terbangun reading role model, dan mampu mengakses sumber bacaan berlisensi creative commons.
