Tanah Grogot District as the capital city of Paser Regency, and is one of the largest industrial areas and the second largest settlement with a high population density. Based on the Decree (SK) of the Paser Regent No. 653 / Kep-166 of 2021, it explains that there are slum problems that can be found in Tanah Grogot Village and Senaken Village. This study aims to analyze the level of slums in Tanah Grogot District, Paser Regency. This research is a quantitative descriptive study and uses the area clustering method. Sampling used purposive sampling with this research sample consisting of 31 informants from government agencies and the community (in 3 clustering). Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses weighting (scoring). The results of the study showed that the level of slums in the 3 clusterings was included in the light slum category (values obtained by Clustering 1: 18, Clustering 2: 21, Clustering 3: 23). In efforts to overcome slums, a comprehensive approach must be involved, not only focusing on physical aspects, but also on social and environmental aspects, such as community empowerment, improving access to basic services, and sustainable environmental management.
