Author Guidelines

The guidelines for authors converge in manuscript templates.

  1. Manuscripts to be submitted for publication should be exclusive to the Biosfer: Jurnal Pendidikan Biologi (biosferjpb) and not published elsewhere.
  2. All correspondence regarding the Journal should be addressed to Managing Editor, biosferjpb, biology education, Faculty of Mathematics and Science, Universitas Negeri Jakarta or e.mail: biosferjpb@unj.ac.id

  1. Manuscripts should preferably be between 3000 and 6000 words in font size Times New Roman 12 and typed single-spaced (including quotations, foot notes and references) with one inch margin on all sides. It should include on a separate page, abstract of about 150-200 words and a short professional resume of the author, giving name, position, institution, office, home, email address along with areas of professional interest. Illustrations, figures, and tables are to be placed within the text at the appropriate points. 
  2. Copyright of the articles published in the Journal will vest with biosferjpb and no content may be reproduced in any form without the prior permission of the Institute
  3. All references should be alphabetically arranged at the end of the text and written as per the APA 5th Edition Guidelines.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Manuscript Assessment Process
Any accepted manuscript will be blind reviewed by at least two reviewers, plus editorial comments. The author is required to revised the manuscript according to reviewer comments and editors.
