Publication Schedule
Franconesia is published twice a year, in June and December. Each year forms one volume with two issues.

Continuous Publication
The journal uses a continuous publication model. Articles do not have to wait for the issue to be completed. Each issue opens at the start of its publication period, and accepted articles are added to the open issue as soon as they are ready. The issue is completed in June or December.
An article is published online when:
- it has been accepted after peer review;
- copyediting and layout are finished;
- the authors have checked and approved the final proof.
Assignment to an Issue
- Accepted articles are assigned to the issue that is open when they are ready for publication.
- If an article is ready after an issue has been completed, it is assigned to the next issue.
- The editor decides the order of articles in each issue.
Version of Record
An article published online is the final version of record. It has its full volume, issue, page numbers, publication date, and DOI from the day it is published, and it can be cited right away. After publication, the article is not changed. Any changes are made only through a correction, following our Retraction and Correction policy.
Submission
Manuscripts can be submitted at any time. There is no submission deadline for each issue. For information on the review process and review time, see our Peer Review Process.
