Post Publication Discussion

Franconesia  welcomes discussion of published articles. Readers may comment on an article, raise questions, or point out possible errors after publication. This helps keep the scholarly record accurate and supports learning between practitioners and researchers in community engagement. This policy follows the COPE Core Practices on post-publication discussions and corrections.

1. How to Submit a Comment

Readers can send a comment or a letter to the editor by email to franconesia@unj.ac.id with the subject "Post-Publication Comment: [article title]". Please include:

  • your full name, affiliation, and email address;
  • the title, DOI, volume, and issue of the article;
  • your comment, written clearly and politely, with evidence or references where possible;
  • a statement of any conflict of interest you have with the article or its authors.

Anonymous comments are not published. However, concerns about research misconduct may be sent confidentially. See section 4.

2. What Comments Are Accepted

Comments should be about the content of the article, such as:

  • questions about the methods, data, or results;
  • new evidence, experience, or data from similar community programs;
  • different interpretations of the findings;
  • possible errors in the article.

Comments that contain personal attacks, offensive language, advertising, or content unrelated to the article will not be considered.

3. How Comments Are Handled

  1. The editor reads the comment and decides whether it is relevant and raises a real scientific question.
  2. If it is relevant, the editor sends the comment to the corresponding author and asks for a response, usually within 30 days.
  3. The editor may ask a reviewer or an expert for advice.
  4. If the comment and the response add useful information, the editor may publish them together as a Letter to the Editor and an Author's Reply in a future issue, linked to the original article.
  5. The person who sent the comment is informed of the result.

4. When a Comment Shows an Error or Misconduct

  • If the comment shows an error in the article, the journal will publish a correction. If the error is serious, the article may be retracted.
  • If the comment raises a concern about plagiarism, data fabrication, unethical community engagement, or other misconduct, it will be handled confidentially

5. Authors' Responsibilities

Authors are expected to respond to comments on their published work in a polite and timely way, and to share data or explanations when asked by the editor. If authors find an error in their own article, they should tell the editor quickly.
