Generative AI Policy

In response to the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, PLPB adheres strictly to the guidelines formulated by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) regarding the use of AI in scholarly writing.

Generative AI tools, including Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, cannot be listed as authors or co-authors on any submitted manuscript. AI lacks the legal capacity, ethical judgment, and accountability required to take responsibility for research outcomes. Authors are permitted to use AI tools exclusively to improve the readability, grammar, and language fluency of their manuscripts. However, if AI tools are used in the data analysis, methodology design, or the generation of graphical abstracts, authors must explicitly and transparently disclose the name of the tool, its version, and its specific application within the "Methods" or "Acknowledgments" section. Ultimately, the human authors bear full responsibility for the factual accuracy, originality, and ethical integrity of all content, including any material generated with AI assistance.
