Plagiarism Screening

Academic integrity is a core value of PLPB. We strictly prohibit all forms of plagiarism, including verbatim copying, improper paraphrasing without attribution, uncredited translation of previously published works, and text-recycling (self-plagiarism).

To enforce this standard, every manuscript submitted to the journal undergoes a rigorous preliminary similarity check using Turnitin professional software before it is assigned to any reviewers. The editorial team evaluates the similarity report to ensure that the manuscript’s overall similarity index does not exceed 20%, and that no single external source accounts for more than a 2% match (excluding the bibliography and properly cited direct quotations). If a manuscript exceeds these thresholds, the handling editor will carefully assess the nature of the matched text. Manuscripts containing minor overlaps may be returned to the authors for immediate revision, while those exhibiting severe or deliberate plagiarism will be rejected unconditionally, and the authors may be barred from future submissions.
