Disinformasi Digital dalam Penyebaran Paham Bumi Datar di Era Post-Truth

Paham bumi datar merupakan salah satu bentuk fenomena post-truth yang berkembang melalui pemanfaatan media digital, meskipun telah tersedia bukti ilmiah yang kuat bahwa bumi berbentuk bulat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis strategi penyebaran narasi bumi datar di media sosial serta mengidentifikasi bentuk misinformasi, disinformasi, dan penggunaan narasi keagamaan dalam memengaruhi khalayak. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus melalui observasi terhadap konten YouTube dan Facebook, wawancara mendalam dengan pengamat media digital dan akademisi komunikasi, serta analisis dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyebar paham bumi datar memanfaatkan narasi emosional, interpretasi agama, dan klaim pseudoilmiah untuk membangun kepercayaan audiens, sehingga karakteristik post-truth lebih dominan dibandingkan penyampaian fakta ilmiah. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan literasi digital dan kemampuan berpikir kritis masyarakat dalam menghadapi penyebaran misinformasi di ruang digital.
