Abstract

Abstract

This research explores the role of ecolinguistic vlog-based training in reducing English speaking anxiety among learners at an English village. The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using vlog content, infused with ecological literacy principles, in hospitality speaking training. A mixed-method approach was employed, combining surveys, interviews, and observational data to assess learners’ speaking anxiety levels before and after the intervention. The findings reveal that ecolinguistic vlogs significantly decreased learners’ anxiety by providing a non-threatening, engaging, and context-rich environment for practice. The study also highlights the potential of incorporating ecological values into language teaching, making the learning process more relatable and meaningful for learners. This paper contributes to the field of Indonesian Language and Literature Education by offering a novel approach to integrating ecolinguistics into speaking training and proposing a practical method for reducing speaking anxiety in English language learners.
