INFORMATIONS
Communications regard the scholarly record as a continuing conversation. Publication does not end scrutiny: readers, authors, reviewers, and editors share responsibility for keeping published work accurate, transparent, and open to debate. This policy sets out (1) how readers can take part in post-publication discussion, (2) how concerns about research integrity are handled, and (3) how published articles are corrected, flagged, retracted, or removed. It follows the Core Practices, Retraction Guidelines, and flowcharts of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Corrigendum. “Correction to: [Authors] ([Year]). [Title]. Jurnal Civics: Media Kajian Kewarganegaraan, [Vol]([Issue]), [pages]. https://doi.org/[DOI]. In the original article, [description of the error]. The correct [text/value/figure] is: [correction]. This correction does not change the findings or conclusions of the article. The authors apologise for the error.”
Expression of concern. “The editors of Jurnal Civics are issuing this expression of concern regarding [citation] because [concern]. [The authors’ institution has been asked to investigate / An investigation is ongoing.] Readers are advised to interpret the article with caution until further notice.”
Retraction. “The following article has been retracted at the request of [the authors / the editors]: [citation]. Following [an investigation / information provided by …], [reason, e.g., substantial overlap with a previously published article without attribution]. [The authors agree / do not agree / did not respond to] this retraction.”
