COMMUNICATIONS is an international, peer-reviewed journal published by Universitas Negeri Jakarta (State University of Jakarta) that publishes scholarly works in Communication Studies. The journal applies a single-blind peer-review process, follows COPE guidelines, is published twice a year in January and July, operates under a Diamond Open Access model with no article processing charges, assigns a DOI to each article, uses the CC BY 4.0 license, and is accredited SINTA 4 in Indonesia.

Communication in Transition: Culture, AI, Digital Media, and Human Interaction

COMMUNICATIONS Vol. 8 No. 2 (July 2026) presents five original studies that capture emerging directions in contemporary communication research, spanning digital communication, interpersonal relationships, human–AI interaction, media transformation, and public communication. This issue is distinguished by its strong international collaboration, featuring contributions from scholars affiliated with institutions in Malaysia, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, as well as Indonesian researchers. Together, these articles advance cross-cultural and interdisciplinary perspectives while offering theoretical innovation and practical insights, reaffirming COMMUNICATIONS as a platform for impactful communication scholarship in the Global South and beyond (Assoc. Journal COMMUNICATIONS is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal published twice a year, in January and July. The journal charges no article processing fees (APCs) and is indexed by CrossRef and SINTA 4 (Indonesia's National Journal Index). Identified by e-ISSN 2684-8392 and p-ISSN 2807-8802, it welcomes original contributions from scholars, practitioners, and researchers worldwide, advancing theory, practice, and contemporary scholarship in communication and public relations.

COMMUNICATIONS is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original research, theoretical discussions, and critical studies in Communication Studies. The journal welcomes contributions from national and international authors, including interdisciplinary research that remains clearly relevant to communication scholarship.

The journal covers media and communication studies, digital and new media communication, political and crisis communication, media literacy and communication education, health communication, cultural, gender and identity communication, as well as strategic and business communication. Submitted manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening followed by a single-blind peer-review process. The journal follows the principles and publication ethics guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

COMMUNICATIONS is published twice a year, in January and July, under a Diamond Open Access model without article processing charges. Published articles are freely accessible, assigned a Digital Object Identifier through Crossref, and licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
