Plagiarism Screening

JPTV (Jurnal Pendidikan Teknik dan Vokasional) states that plagiarism is not acceptable for all authors and establishes the following policy stating specific actions (penalties) when plagiarism is identified by plagiarism checker software. We are using Turnitin as the plagiarism checker software. When the plagiarism checker software identifies plagiarism, the Editorial Board responsible for the review of this manuscript and will agree on measures according to the extent of plagiarism detected in the article in agreement with the following guidelines:

  1. For minor plagiarism, the editor will warn the authors and a request to change the manuscript and properly cite the sources.
  2. For intermediate plagiarism, the editor will reject the manuscript.
  3. For severe plagiarism, the editor will reject the manuscript and forbid the author from submitting further articles to the journal.

Retraction

The articles published in JPTV (Jurnal Pendidikan Teknik dan Vokasional) will be retract in the publication if: they have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of misconduct (e.g., data fabrication) or honest error (e.g., miscalculation or experimental error); the findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper crossreferencing, permission or justification (i.e., cases of redundant publication); it constitutes plagiarism; it reports unethical research. The mechanism of retraction follows the Retraction Guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
