KONSEP PENDIDIKAN KI HAJAR DEWANTARA PADA ANAK USIA DINI

Abstract

The aim of this study is to detect the form of development from the application of Ki
Hajar Dewantara’s education concept in early childhood. By using qualitative methods approach,
this research was conducted in two places, Taman Indria Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta and Taman
Indria Jakarta. Research was carried out by observation, interview and documentation. Data were
analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique, through the process of data reduction, data
display and research data verification. The results of data analysis indicate (1) that the concept of
education Ki Hajar Dewantara always applicable (2) forms of activities for early childhood
education is to develop the senses, such as playing, singing, dancing and storytelling (3) the
education process is done by cultural approach as playing traditional games, sing traditional
songs, storytelling, using surround natural materials as learning media is a unique of the concept
of education Ki Hajar ewantara, (4) factors that hinder and support the implementation of Ki
Hajar Dewantara’s education concept from the school, external and internal factors.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeteksi pengembangan penerapan konsep pendidikan Ki
Hajar Dewantara pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode kualitatif,
dilakukan didua tempat Taman Indria Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta dan Taman Indria Jakarta.
Penelitian dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis
menggunakan teknik Miles dan Huberman, melalui proses reduksi data, display data dan verifikasi
data peneliti. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan (1) konsep pendidikan Ki Hajar Dewantara selalu
berlaku; (2) bentuk kegiatan pendidikan anak usia dini adalah mengembangkan indra, seperti
bermain, bernyanyi, menari dan bercerita; (3) proses pendidikan dilakukan dengan pendekatan
budaya seperti permainan tradisional, menyanyikan lagu-lagu tradisional, bercerita, menggunakan
bahan alami sebagai media pembelajaran adalah keunikan dari konsep pendidikan Ki Hajar
ewantara, (4) factor internal dan eksternal yang menghambat dan mendukung pelaksanaan konsep
pendidikan Ki Hajar Dewantara di sekolah.
