Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscript must be formatted strictly according to the official BIOMA manuscript template . At present, BIOMA accepts only research articles, while review articles or short communications are considered solely by invitation
  • If the research involves human subjects, authors are required to include documented informed consent from all participants.
  • For studies involving either human subjects or experimental animals, authors must obtain ethical clearance from the university’s ethics committee and provide the approval letter.
  • A formal statement of originality must be submitted, declaring that the manuscript is the author’s own work and has not been published elsewhere (see BIOMA manuscript template).
  • A PDF file containing the results of a plagiarism check (using Turnitin or a similar tool) must be attached. If authors do not have access to Turnitin or equivalent services, they should contact the Managing Editor for assistance.
