We have provided the BIOMA manuscript template to assist authors in formatting their articles. The current template is available only in Microsoft Word format and can be downloaded from the latest BIOMA manuscript template link . Authors who use other applications for manuscript preparation (e.g., LaTeX) should still refer to this template for guidance. Please note that the template provided through the link titled obsolete BIOMA manuscript template version 09-20-2024 and version 06-20-2026 is no longer in use and applies only to articles published in Volume 20 (2024) Issue 1 [20(1)] through Volume 21 (2025) Issue 2 [21(2)]. and Volume 22, Issue 1 [22(1)] 2026. Authors submitting manuscripts for subsequent issues are required to use the latest BIOMA manuscript template to ensure compliance with current formatting and submission requirements. The maximum file size for the complete manuscript is 2 MB.
Authors are required to prepare a cover letter to accompany their manuscript submission. The cover letter should briefly introduce the manuscript, state its originality and relevance to the journal’s scope, and confirm that the manuscript has not been published or submitted for consideration elsewhere. Authors should also disclose any potential conflicts of interest and provide other relevant information requested by the journal. Authors are encouraged to use the official Cover Letter Template provided by the journal. The maximum file size for the cover letter is 2 MB.
Authors are required to submit a plagiarism detection report generated using Turnitin together with the manuscript. The report should clearly indicate the overall similarity score and must be generated from the submitted version of the manuscript. Authors should ensure that the manuscript has been appropriately cited and that any similarities identified in the report are properly addressed. The official Turnitin Result Template provided by the journal should be used when submitting the plagiarism detection result. The maximum file size for the turnitin result is 2 MB.
Authors are required to declare the use of any Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in the preparation of their manuscript. The declaration should specify the AI tools used, their purpose, and the extent to which they contributed to the manuscript. AI tools must not be listed as authors, and the authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and final content of the manuscript. Authors should complete the Declaration of Artificial Intelligence Usage Template provided by the journal. The maximum file size for the declaration of AI usage is 2 MB.
