Meningkatkan Perilaku Pro Lingkungan Peserta Didik Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning

Masalah sampah yang terus meningkat sepanjang pandemi menunjukkan bahwa manusia masih melakukan aktivitas yang hanya menguntungkan diri sendiri tanpa peduli dengan alam. Perilaku destruktif ini dapat diubah melalui proses pendidikan yang meningkatkan perilaku pro lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan model Project Based Learning siswa SMA pada materi perubahan lingkungan untuk meningkatkan perilaku pro lingkungan peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan model Discovery Learning pada kelas kontrol dan model Project Based Learning pada kelas eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 54 Jakarta pada bulan Maret-April 2022. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 60 siswa yang dipilih secara random sampling dengan jumlah 30 siswa di setiap kelas. Instrumen perilaku pro lingkungan yang diadaptasi dari Kasier dan Wilson terdiri dari 40 pernyataan. Analisis data menggunakan uji t dan hasilnya menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,002. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model Project Based Learning dapat meningkatkan perilaku pro lingkungan peserta didik SMA. Uji N-Gain juga dilakukan, dan ternyata keefektifan model pembelajaran pada kedua kelas tersebut tergolong rendah. Hal ini dapat terjadi karena guru masih belum terbiasa dengan model Project Based Learning. Kedepannya masih perlu dilakukan penelitian yang melibatkan faktor-faktor lain yang mempengaruhi perilaku pro lingkungan dalam penerapan pembelajaran di sekolah.
