Plagiarism Screening

Hayula: Indonesian Journal of Multidisciplinary Islamic Studies is strongly committed to preventing plagiarism in all its forms, including self-plagiarism.

Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are entirely original and that any use of the work or words of others has been properly cited or quoted. Authors must also ensure that the manuscript, or any substantial part of it, has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another journal. Authors are required to follow the Hayula Author Guidelines regarding redundant, duplicate, or fraudulent publication.

Before submission, authors are advised to check their manuscripts using a plagiarism checker. Hayula recommends Turnitin, with a maximum similarity index of 20%, or Plagiarisma, with a minimum originality (uniqueness) score of 70%. Similarity checks exclude references and properly cited quotations.

Manuscripts found to exceed these limits or to contain plagiarism will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected, and the authors will be informed accordingly.
