Peningkatan Kesiapsiagaan Sumber Daya Manusia Rumah Sakit Melalui Pelatihan dan Simulasi Penanggulangan Bencana

Hospital preparedness for disasters depends not only on infrastructure and emergency systems but also on the capacity of human resources to respond effectively during emergencies. Limited knowledge and skills in disaster management may affect the readiness of hospital personnel to provide safe and coordinated services during disasters. This community service activity aimed to strengthen the knowledge and preparedness of hospital human resources in disaster management through structured training. The activity involved 30 hospital personnel and was conducted using lectures, discussions, case studies, and disaster response simulations. Participants completed the same knowledge assessment before and after the training. The results showed an increase in the mean knowledge score from 61.77 before the training to 76.91 after the training, representing an improvement of 15.14 points (24.5%). These findings indicate an improvement in participants’ disaster management knowledge, while simulation observations showed an average performance achievement of 78.3%, indicating areas that still require strengthening. Continuous training and simulation are recommended to strengthen hospital human resource capacity and support sustainable disaster preparedness and hospital resilience.
Abstrak
Kesiapsiagaan rumah sakit dalam menghadapi bencana tidak hanya bergantung pada infrastruktur dan sistem tanggap darurat, tetapi juga pada kapasitas sumber daya manusia dalam merespons situasi darurat secara efektif. Keterbatasan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam manajemen bencana dapat memengaruhi kesiapan personel rumah sakit dalam memberikan pelayanan yang aman dan terkoordinasi selama terjadi bencana. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesiapsiagaan personel rumah sakit dalam manajemen bencana melalui pelatihan terstruktur. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 30 personel rumah sakit dan dilaksanakan melalui metode ceramah, diskusi, studi kasus, serta simulasi respons bencana. Peserta mengikuti asesmen pengetahuan yang sama sebelum dan setelah pelatihan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor pengetahuan dari 61,77 sebelum pelatihan menjadi 76,91 setelah pelatihan, atau meningkat sebesar 15,14 poin (24,5%). Temuan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta mengenai manajemen bencana. Hasil observasi simulasi juga menunjukkan rata-rata capaian kinerja sebesar 78,3%, yang mengindikasikan masih adanya aspek-aspek yang perlu diperkuat. Pelatihan dan simulasi secara berkelanjutan direkomendasikan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas sumber daya manusia rumah sakit serta mendukung kesiapsiagaan bencana dan ketangguhan rumah sakit secara berkelanjutan.
