This study aims to reconstruct the practices of resource empowerment within the Literasi Asik (TERAS) Program at SMAN 18 Kota Bekasi through the Appreciative Inquiry (AI) approach. Using a retrospective case study design, data were collected through interviews, document analysis, program artifacts, and observations of activity videos. The findings indicate that the optimization of school assets—including teacher competencies, facilities and infrastructure, entertainment media, and social capital—successfully created an engaging learning atmosphere and increased student participation. The literacy activities fostered joyful learning, creative performance, and positive behaviors such as discipline and self-confidence. Moreover, cross-disciplinary teacher collaboration strengthened through academic conversations that enriched instructional strategies. Analysis using the 4D AI framework reinforces that the program’s success emerged from amplifying positive practices already present within the school community. This study concludes that AI-based resource empowerment is effective in cultivating a literacy culture and promoting innovative learning.
