Peran Reputasi Sekolah Terhadap Preferensi Orang Tua Memilih SMP Swasta: Kajian Prisma
Keywords:
reputasi sekolah, preferensi orang tua, SMP SwastaAbstract
This study aims to analyze the role of school reputation on parents' preferences in choosing private junior high schools. This study focuses on identifying school reputation, the influence of school reputation on school decisions, and the tendency of parents to choose schools. This study uses the PRISMA method. Article searches were conducted through Google Scholar using the Publish or Perish application with keywords related to school reputation, parental preferences, and private junior high schools limited to the years 2020-2025. From the initial 200 articles, the selection process resulted in 13 journal articles that met the criteria after eliminating duplicates, irrelevant articles, and those that were inaccessible. The synthesis results show that school reputation is built through teacher quality, learning quality, school services, security, discipline, facilities, and flagship programs. Most studies state that school reputation and image have a positive influence on parents' decisions. However, in certain areas, especially those with limited economic or access limitations, educational costs and location are more dominant than school reputation.
