Abstract

Learning communities for teachers are seen as an important means of improving the quality of education through collaboration and professional development. Learning communities help others learn about the Independent Curriculum, share good practices, think about what they have learned, and reflect on what they have learned. This is done using a qualitative approach using case study research methods. The results of the study indicate that learning in nature schools is often carried out in open spaces, utilizing the potential within the school environment. This is in accordance with the learning with nature method. In principle, nature schools use appropriate methods in selecting learning models. This means that any appropriate method can be used. The Indonesian Nature School in Cibinong frees students to explore, experiment, and express themselves without being limited by walls that restrict their curiosity. This nature school prioritizes three main subjects in its educational concept: akhlakul karimah (attitude to life), philosophy of science (logical thinking), and leadership training. The presence of learning communities can create a collaborative culture that supports teacher professional development, and collaboration within learning communities can improve teaching practices through evidence-based discussions and the sharing of experiences between teachers.
