Abstract

This study aims to elucidate the role of information technology in the management of bullying prevention at the junior secondary school level through a critical analysis of policy documents, institutional reports, and scholarly publications from the past decade. Adopting a document-based descriptive approach, the study examines how information technology is positioned as a strategic instrument for strengthening planning, organizing, implementation, and control functions within school-based anti-bullying programs. The synthesis of findings demonstrates that information technology contributes substantially to improving the speed and accuracy of incident reporting, providing secure and anonymous reporting channels, and enabling real-time data utilization for informed decision-making. Furthermore, the adoption of digital reporting applications, dashboard-based school management systems, and integrated student data enhances transparency, coordination effectiveness among violence prevention teams, and accountability in follow-up actions. Nevertheless, the literature identifies persistent challenges, including disparities in digital literacy, infrastructural constraints, data privacy and security concerns, and the lack of standardized operational procedures for effective technology integration. This study offers both theoretical and practical foundations for the development of adaptive and sustainable technology-based bullying prevention models at the junior secondary education level.
