Abstract

Previous studies have mostly focused on factors related to academic performance and have not extensively examined publication trends on this topic. This research aims to analyze the factors influencing academic performance as well as the publication trends in 2024–2025. The method employed is a systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis using a qualitative and descriptive quantitative approach. Data were collected from Scopus and analyzed with Bibliometrix and VOSviewer. The findings indicate that academic performance factors are multidimensional, encompassing individual aspects such as ADHD, emotional regulation, and executive cognitive functions; healthy lifestyles through physical activity, sleep, and screen time; transformational-participatory school leadership; geographic and sociodemographic factors; school environment; and social issues such as child abuse and ability grouping practices. Recent publication trends reveal a more integrative direction of research, with emphasis on psychological interventions, healthy lifestyles, ecological factors, educational leadership, technology-based pedagogy, as well as equity and inclusion in education.
