The Reconfiguration of Contemporary Islamic Sufism: Global Scholarly Trends and Their Relevance to Sufi Da'wah in Indonesia

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji tren keilmuan global mengenai Sufisme Islam kontemporer serta implikasinya terhadap dakwah berorientasi sufistik di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan bibliometrik yang dipadukan dengan interpretasi kualitatif melalui analisis terhadap 96 publikasi terindeks Scopus pada periode 2015–2024. Data dikumpulkan melalui penelusuran sistematis pada basis data Scopus menggunakan kata kunci yang berkaitan dengan Sufisme Islam, pengalaman mistik, tarekat sufi, dan dakwah. Publikasi yang diperoleh kemudian diseleksi, diklasifikasikan, dan diorganisasikan berdasarkan tahun publikasi, fokus tema, distribusi geografis, serta orientasi metodologis penelitian. Data dianalisis menggunakan pemetaan bibliometrik dan analisis deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengidentifikasi tema dominan, pola penelitian, dan kecenderungan perkembangan kajian Sufisme kontemporer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan terhadap minat akademik global mengenai Sufisme Islam, khususnya pada tema pengalaman mistik, spiritualitas, diskursus teologis-filosofis, serta peran tarekat sufi dalam masyarakat Muslim kontemporer. Sebagian besar penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan interdisipliner yang menunjukkan transformasi dinamis Sufisme sebagai tradisi spiritual sekaligus diskursus intelektual. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kajian Sufisme kontemporer berkontribusi dalam pengembangan keberagamaan Islam yang spiritual, etis, dan transformatif. Temuan ini juga mengimplikasikan bahwa dakwah sufistik dapat menjadi pendekatan yang inklusif dan humanistik dalam memperkuat wacana serta praktik keislaman kontemporer di Indonesia.
