About the Journal
Jurnal Studi Al-Qur’an (JSQ) is an international peer-reviewed publication dedicated to advancing academic inquiry on the Qur’an, particularly in relation to educational transformation and teaching practices. It examines how the Qur’an is taught, interpreted, transmitted, and applied across diverse educational contexts, from classical traditions to contemporary institutions. The journal invites manuscripts in English and Arabic addressing ethical foundations, instructional design, exegetical methodology, technological integration, interdisciplinary engagement, and cross-cultural perspectives in Qur’anic education.
Recognized with SINTA 3 Accreditation, JSQ serves as a global forum for rigorous academic exchange in the field. It is issued twice a year in January and July by the Institute for Research and Community Service, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Indonesia.

Geographical Diversity of Authors:

Jurnal Studi Al-Qur'an (JSQ) is a SINTA 3-accredited journal published biannually in January and July. In Vol. 22, No. 1 (January 2026) issue, JSQ published seven articles by authors from Indonesia, Pakistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey with diverse academic backgrounds. This illustrates the diversity of research topics in socio-religious studies, using a thematic approach to Qur'an studies.

Jurnal Studi Al-Qur'an was published in 2005 with P-ISSN 0216-1648 and an online version in 2013 with E-ISSN 2339-2614.
